At The Card Shop, our pre-release events are designed to be fun, welcoming, and stress-free, whether you’re a seasoned player or opening your very first pack ever. Pre-releases are about discovery, excitement, and enjoying the game together, not high-pressure competition.
That’s why we use a casual prize structure. Instead of rewarding only the top few players, we spread the love a little more evenly. Players who finish in the top half receive 2 prize packs, while players in the bottom half still receive 1 prize pack. This way, everyone walks away with something, and no one feels punished for learning, experimenting, or just having a rough night of draws.
We believe pre-releases should be a place where players feel comfortable trying new cards, asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. Winning is fun, but enjoying the experience matters more.
We also do our best to keep entry prices affordable. We know this hobby can get expensive, and we want our events to be accessible to as many people as possible. Our goal isn’t to squeeze every ringgit out of an event, but to grow a healthy, happy community that keeps coming back because it feels good to play here.
